In Tanah Bumbu Regency in 2023, per capita weekly expenditure on carrots was Rp449.3. This figure is significantly higher than the previous year's Rp306.6 per capita per week.

The five highest per capita weekly expenditures on vegetables in Tanah Bumbu Regency were: garlic at Rp2,166.48, chili peppers at Rp1,858.04, shallots at Rp1,452.6, eggplant at Rp968.56, and the lowest was jengkol at Rp49.73.

Per capita average expenditure refers to the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized into food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of goods, and is limited to household expenses only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The per capita average consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and non-food) by the total population.
