On Monday, October 25, 2021, Indonesia reported an additional 30 deaths due to the Covid-19 coronavirus. This brings the total number of coronavirus deaths in the country to 143,235.
This figure ranks seventh highest in the world, below Peru, which has recorded 200,052 coronavirus deaths.
The United States remains the country with the highest number of coronavirus deaths worldwide, with a total of 757,824.
Brazil is in second place with 605,884 coronavirus deaths, followed by India with 455,100.

One step to reduce the number of deaths is to curb the rate of coronavirus transmission. This can be done by diligently implementing the 3M health protocols: wearing a mask, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap.
In addition, the public is urged to get vaccinated. The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) states that the risk of death from coronavirus is reduced by up to 37% for those who have received one dose of the vaccine. The risk of death is reduced by up to 73% for those who have received two doses.
