The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 300 regencies/cities have complete vaccination coverage above the national average, which is currently recorded at 73.41 percent as of Saturday, May 28, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with complete vaccination rates exceeding 141.19 percent are Yogyakarta City, Central Jakarta City, Denpasar City, South Jakarta City, and Magelang City, with values of 214.98 percent, 202.97 percent, 154.84 percent, 153.68 percent, and 141.19 percent, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in complete vaccination coverage in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in complete vaccination rates compared to previous days was recorded in 312 regencies/cities, while three regencies/cities recorded lower complete vaccination rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest complete vaccination rates include Denpasar City, Padang Panjang City, and Badung Regency, with complete vaccination rates of 154.84 percent, 127.85 percent, and 122.75 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
