The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 69.2 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia as of Sunday, January 22, 2023. This figure represents 29.49 percent of the national Covid-19 vaccination target. The national Covid-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the daily addition of Covid-19 booster vaccinations yesterday nationwide reached 7,517 doses.
Based on province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.72 million doses. The highest number of West Java residents who have received the Covid-19 booster vaccine is in Bogor Regency with 1.62 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency with 1.12 million, Bekasi City with 999,780, Bekasi Regency with 994,270, Cianjur Regency with 929,870, and Bandung City with 907,910.
In other regions, East Java has the second-highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationally with 9.35 million doses. Within this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, namely 1.31 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.61 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by North Sumatra, Banten, and Bali with 3.8 million, 3.03 million, and 1.97 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
