Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest COVID-19 Hospital Bed Occupancy Rate Nationwide (Friday, September 9, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 163 districts/cities with Bed Occupancy Rates (BOR) above the national average, currently recorded at 3.89 percent (data as of Friday, September 9, 2022).

The top five districts/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 36.73 percent are Luwu Utara (52 percent), Tasikmalaya (50 percent), Banjar (41.22 percent), Manggarai Timur (37.5 percent), and Sorong (36.73 percent).

A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. 70 districts/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than the previous day, while 70 others recorded a lower BOR.

Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Luwu Utara (52 percent), Banjar (41.22 percent), and Manggarai Timur (37.5 percent).

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
