Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Inpatient Utilization (Sunday, July 3, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 46 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, July 3, 2022.

The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 2.08 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong, Tegal City, Magelang City, Barito Timur, and Tangerang City, with respective values of 5.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.34 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.08 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient utilization was recorded in seven districts/cities, while eight districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.

Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Sorong, Barito Timur, and Luwu Timur, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 5.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.34 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.3 patients per 100,000 population/week.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
