The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 110 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 2.87 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 9.67 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Kediri City, Bontang City, Madiun City, Tegal City, and Cirebon City, with respective values of 27.99 patients per 100,000 population/week, 12.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.78 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.39 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.67 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. A higher than usual daily inpatient utilization was recorded in 56 districts/cities, while 44 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Bontang City, Prabumulih City, and Toli-Toli, with inpatient utilization rates of 12.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.65 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
