The top five, starting from the highest, are Mimika, Kupang City, Tulungagung, Tasikmalaya, and Padang City, with 998, 980, 958, 951, and 866 people tested per week, respectively.
Mimika ranks first. With a population of 221,810, 998 people were tested in the last week. The latest positive rate is 0.5 percent, lower than the previous week's ratio.
Next is Kupang City. With a population of 469,730, 980 people were tested in the last week. The positive rate is 0.71 percent, also lower than the previous week's ratio.
Following this, Tulungagung recorded 958 people tested per week, Tasikmalaya 951, and Padang City 866.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on national Covid data, 216 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of people tested per week than the previous week. Meanwhile, 155 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of people tested per week compared to the previous week.
Outside Java, areas with the highest number of people tested per week include Mimika, Kupang City, and Padang City, with 998, 980, and 866 people tested, respectively.
