Several districts/cities in Maluku province still record a relatively low second-dose vaccination rate compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include West Seram Regency, East Seram Regency, and Central Maluku Regency.
As of yesterday's data, in implementing the vaccination program, these three regions have only completed 178,510 second doses out of the expected target of 594,980 vaccine recipients.
West Seram Regency is ranked first. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region is only 23.47 percent, the lowest among the other 11 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose vaccination rate has reached 47.24 percent, or 116,060 vaccine recipients.
This district/city's vaccination program targets 159,880 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in West Seram Regency last week was 210 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 6,830 doses.
Next is East Seram Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 102,560 vaccine recipients, only 26.71 percent, or 27,398 recipients, have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination rate has reached 60.07 percent, or 91,200 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in East Seram Regency last week was 31 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 4,276 doses.
Lastly, Central Maluku Regency is ranked third. With a target of 332,540 vaccine recipients, only 34.16 percent, or 113,590 recipients, have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Central Maluku Regency last week was 399 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 7,518 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination rate in Maluku has reached 66.78 percent, or 1.08 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate has reached 42.54 percent, covering 686,260 vaccine recipients.
