The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 65 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.88 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Friday, August 12, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with inpatient utilization exceeding 9.14 patients per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, Palangkaraya City, Bangli Regency, Tegal City, and South Jakarta, with respective values of 16.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.82 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.19 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 24 regencies/cities, while 35 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Palangkaraya City, Bangli Regency, and Denpasar City, with inpatient utilization of 11.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.82 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 8.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
