The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 190 regencies/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.44 percent (data as of Wednesday, August 31, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 26.46 percent are Tomohon City, Bolaang Mongondow Selatan, Mahakam Ulu, Barito Selatan, and Tegal City, with respective values of 39.39 percent, 37.5 percent, 37.04 percent, 30.65 percent, and 26.46 percent.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 115 regencies/cities, while 148 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Tomohon City, Bolaang Mongondow Selatan, and Mahakam Ulu, with seven-day positivity rates of 39.39 percent, 37.5 percent, and 37.04 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
