The Covid-19 Task Force reported an increase in the number of regencies/cities categorized as red zones, indicating a high risk of coronavirus cases. As of July 18, 180 regencies/cities were classified as red zones, a 51-regency/city increase compared to the previous week's 129.
Conversely, the number of regencies/cities in the orange (moderate risk) zone decreased by 13 to 281. The previous week, 294 regencies/cities were in the orange zone.
A decrease was also observed in the yellow zone category, with a reduction of 28 regencies/cities from the previous week. A total of 51 regencies/cities are currently in the yellow zone.
Furthermore, the number of regencies/cities in the green zone (due to no new Covid-19 cases) decreased from 11 to only 1. The number of regencies/cities in the green zone (due to no impact from coronavirus) remains at one.
The government continues to urge the public to consistently implement the 3M health protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In addition, the public is encouraged to avoid crowds and reduce mobility.
