Top 10 Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with the Highest COVID-19 Hospital Bed Occupancy Rate (Tuesday, August 16, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 144 districts/cities with Bed Occupancy Rates (BOR) above the national average, currently at 4.01 percent, as of Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

The top five districts/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 34.09 percent are Tanah Bumbu, Tasikmalaya, Karangasem, Manggarai Timur, and Banjarbaru City, with values of 53.5 percent, 50 percent, 39.41 percent, 37.5 percent, and 34.09 percent respectively.

A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in BOR in most districts/cities outside Java. 78 districts/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than before, while 58 districts/cities recorded a lower BOR.

Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Tanah Bumbu, Karangasem, and Manggarai Timur, with BORs of 53.5 percent, 39.41 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
