A citizen coalition, LaporCovid-19, together with the Social Resilience Lab, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), mapped the perception of risk among Jakarta residents regarding Covid-19. The results show that 18% of respondents still believe that the Covid-19 virus was deliberately created by humans.
Meanwhile, 58% of respondents answered "don't know." Only 23% of respondents are certain that the Covid-19 virus is not man-made.
The survey was conducted online via the Qualtrics platform, distributed through WhatsApp from May 29th to June 20th, 2020. The method used was quota sampling with variables based on the population per sub-district (kelurahan). A total of 206,550 people responded, with 154,471 valid responses.
