The COVID-19 positivity rate in DKI Jakarta is steadily decreasing. Based on data from the DKI Jakarta COVID-19 Task Force as of September 14, 2021, the positivity rate of residents infected with the coronavirus in the capital city was 1.5%.
Over the past week, the average COVID-19 positivity rate in Jakarta was recorded at 1.4%. This is lower than the average positivity rate the previous week, which was 2.4%, and the rate from August 14-21, 2021, which was 7.4%.
Not only the positivity rate, but the bed occupancy rate (BOR) in DKI Jakarta is also decreasing. The BOR in Jakarta hospitals reached 10% on September 12, 2021.
Although the COVID-19 positivity rate in the capital city has decreased, the public still needs to pay attention to their health. COVID-19 cases in DKI Jakarta increased by 305 cases on September 15, 2021, a 60.5% increase compared to the previous day.
Therefore, the public is still urged to diligently implement the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In addition, the public is also encouraged to avoid crowds and reduce mobility.
