The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least two regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 4.56 percent. This is down from 5.81 percent last week, based on data from Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 51.11 percent, are Fakfak (100 percent), Tulang Bawang (64.71 percent), Kutai Barat (55.46 percent), Muna (52.5 percent), and Kotamobagu (51.11 percent).
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 37 regencies/cities, while 99 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak (100 percent), Tulang Bawang (64.71 percent), and Kutai Barat (55.46 percent).
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
