Several districts/cities in West Sumatra Province still record quite low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Agam Regency, Solok Regency, and the Mentawai Islands Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regencies had only completed 419,850 second doses out of the expected target of 812,350 vaccine recipients.
Agam Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination in this region has reached 51.15%. This is the lowest compared to the other 19 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose vaccination has reached 76.09%, or 557,240 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 432,030 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in Agam last week was 917 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 42,207 doses.
Next is Solok Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 311,810 vaccine recipients, 52.09% or 162,430 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination has reached 83.57%, or 431,250 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in Solok last week was 839 participants. The available vaccine stock is currently 32,616 doses.
Mentawai Islands Regency is ranked third. With a target of 68,511 vaccine recipients, 53.19% or 36,441 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in the Mentawai Islands last week was 118 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 40,512 doses.
Regarding the provincial-level vaccination achievement, the total first-dose vaccination in West Sumatra has reached 183.82%, covering 8.1 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 137.35%, covering 6.06 million vaccine recipients.
