Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Percentage of Suspect Examinations per Week (Monday, August 8, 2022)

Based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 166 regencies/cities aggressively conducted suspect testing, exceeding the national average weekly percentage. As of Monday, August 8, 2022, the national average testing rate was recorded at 7.88 percent. This suspect testing data is calculated based on the number of suspected individuals and close contacts compared to the number of people tested in each region, which is then reported to the Ministry of Health.

The top five, starting from the highest, are Simalungun, Mandailing Natal, Pringsewu, Pangandaran, and Balangan, with percentages of 87.76 percent, 79.34 percent, 71.44 percent, 71.27 percent, and 55.07 percent, respectively.

Simalungun ranks first. With a population of 877,710, the weekly suspect testing percentage here was recorded at 87.76 percent. The latest positive rate is 3.01 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.

Next is Mandailing Natal. The population in this region is recorded at 460,360. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly suspect testing percentage was 79.34 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 0 percent, having decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.

Furthermore, Pringsewu recorded 71.44 percent testing, Pangandaran recorded 71.27 percent, and Balangan, with a population of 134,580, recorded a weekly suspect testing percentage of 55.07 percent.
