The highest increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Lampung currently occurred in Metro City, with 0.6 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Sunday, December 19, 2021. This figure is 0.1 cases higher than the second-highest region.
Meanwhile, good news from the province: the Ministry of Health reported that nine regencies/cities recorded no increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
In Metro City, the spread of COVID-19 does not appear to be improving. This is indicated by the number of cases this week, which is higher compared to the previous week, when no cases per 100,000 population per week were reported.
Second is Mesuji Regency, recording 0.5 weekly confirmed cases per 100,000 population. Compared to last week, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week is still higher, meaning no improvement is evident.
Rounding out the top five, besides the two regions mentioned above, are Bandar Lampung City, Tanggamus Regency, and Lampung Selatan Regency. Each recorded 0.3, 0.2, and 0.1 weekly confirmed cases, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Tulang Bawang Barat, Pesisir Barat, Tulang Bawang, and Pesawaran. Most of these areas reported no new cases per 100,000 population.
Other information from today's daily COVID-19 data statistics shows that 117 regencies/cities in Indonesia recorded a higher increase compared to last week, and 152 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly confirmed cases than the previous week.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, yesterday's COVID-19 data showed that 280 regencies/cities in Indonesia recorded no confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
