Indonesia today recorded an additional 617 Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic to 6.05 million as of Wednesday, April 27, 2022. The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are Central Java, Jakarta, West Java, Banten, and East Java.

- Central Java recorded an additional 207 cases
Central Java ranks first. The increase in cases here was 207, or a 0.03 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 626,780. With this addition, the total number of cases in Central Java is now 626,980.
In addition to recording the highest number of new cases, Central Java also recorded 12 deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in Central Java has reached 33,044.
The trend of case development in this region over the past week has decreased. This can be seen from the lower confirmation rate per 100,000 population compared to the previous week.
Similarly, the positive rate in this region is lower than before. According to the Ministry of Health, the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) for Covid-19 hospitals in this province is recorded at four percent.
- Jakarta recorded an additional 130 cases
Jakarta ranks second. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 130. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 1.16 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 91.21 per week.
- West Java recorded an additional 75 cases
West Java ranks third. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 75. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 0.71 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 99.79 per week.
- Banten recorded an additional 42 cases
Next is Banten. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 42. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 1.01 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 33.74 per week.
- East Java recorded an additional 32 cases
East Java ranks fifth. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 32. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 0.35 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 74.38 per week.
- Bali recorded an additional 22 cases
Sixth is Bali. In this province, the increase in cases today was 22, or a 0.01 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 157,080. The seven-day positive rate in Bali is 0.69 percent, while the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals is reported to be three percent.
- Yogyakarta recorded an additional 20 cases
Yogyakarta ranks seventh. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 20. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 0.75 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 12.16 per week.
- West Kalimantan recorded an additional eight cases
Eighth is West Kalimantan. In this province, the increase in cases today was eight, or a 0.01 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 64,612. - Aceh recorded an additional seven cases
Ninth is Aceh. In this province, the increase in cases today was seven, or a 0.02 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 43,689.
