The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least one regency/city has a bed occupancy rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR as of Saturday, May 7, 2022, is 2.15 percent.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 0.04 thousand percent, are Fakfak, Jayawijaya, North Halmahera, Malinau, and East Aceh, with values of 0.1 thousand percent, 0.05 thousand percent, 0.04 thousand percent, 0.04 thousand percent, and 0.04 thousand percent, respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java is decreasing. Thirty-three regencies/cities recorded higher daily BOR than before, while 49 regencies/cities recorded lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Jayawijaya, and North Halmahera, with BORs of 0.1 thousand percent, 0.05 thousand percent, and 0.04 thousand percent, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
