Several districts/cities in East Kalimantan province still record quite low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Paser Regency, Mahakam Ulu Regency, and Kutai Timur Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regencies had only completed 289,960 second doses out of the expected target of 569,040 vaccine recipients.
Paser Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination in this region only recorded 48.8 percent. This figure is the lowest compared to the other 10 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose vaccination has reached 74.4 percent, or 259,940 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 209,560 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination last week in Paser was 1,051 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 49,158 doses.
Next is Mahakam Ulu Regency. For the second dose vaccination, this region is ranked second lowest. With a target of 25,524 vaccine recipients, 50.3 percent or 12,841 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination has reached 77 percent, or 33,115 vaccine recipients.
Then there is Kutai Timur Regency, ranked third. With a target of 333,960 vaccine recipients, 52.4 percent or 174,890 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination last week in Kutai Timur was 1,937 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 79,948 doses.
Regarding the provincial-level vaccination achievement, the total first-dose vaccination in East Kalimantan has reached 84.23 percent, or 2.42 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 63.36 percent, covering 1.82 million vaccine recipients.
