Palu's air quality was the cleanest in Indonesia this morning. According to the air quality index from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Palu scored 33 on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 6:00 AM WIB.
At that time, Palu's air quality was categorized as good, meaning the level of pollutants in the air was very minimal. Mamuju was ranked second with an air quality index of 40. Balikpapan followed in third place with an air quality index of 43.
Below is a complete list of the 10 cities with the cleanest air quality in Indonesia according to KLHK on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 6:00 AM WIB.

Although the air quality in these cities was among the cleanest in Indonesia, not all cities had good air quality.
Based on the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 14 of 2020 concerning the Air Pollutant Standard Index, KLHK classifies the air quality index as follows:
* 0-50: Good
* 51-100: Moderate
* 101-200: Unhealthy
* 201-300: Very Unhealthy
* 300+: Hazardous
This means that on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 6:00 AM WIB, the cities with good air quality were Palu, Mamuju, Balikpapan, Banda Aceh, and Ambon. The other five cities, namely Manokwari, Jayapura, Tanjung Pinang, Dumai, and Manado, had moderate air quality.
