India still holds the second-highest rank for additional Covid-19 cases, although its additional cases have decreased by 24% in the last week.
Details of the increase in Covid-19 cases in Indonesia show a rise from 64,334 cases (June 11-17, 2021) to 103,719 cases in one week (June 18-24, 2021). Furthermore, Iran saw a 4% increase in Covid-19 cases over the past week, from 67,314 cases to 69,703 cases. Turkey recorded a 5% decrease in cases, to 39,095 cases.
The Covid-19 Handling Task Force reported 20,574 cases in a single day on Thursday, June 24, 2021. This figure represents the highest daily increase in Covid-19 cases in Indonesia since the first case was identified.
Meanwhile, the bed occupancy rate (BOR) in Covid-19 referral hospitals reached 69% as of Wednesday, June 23, 2021. This occupancy rate has exceeded the World Health Organization (WHO)'s safe limit of 60%.
