This testing achievement data is calculated based on the number of people tested compared to each region's weekly target, which is then reported to the Ministry of Health.
The top five, starting with the highest percentage of people tested per week, are Badung (901.65%), Jayapura City (877.27%), Central Jakarta City (862.16%), South Jakarta City (847.14%), and Balikpapan City (822.52%).
Badung is ranked first. With a population of 727,950, the percentage of people tested per week is recorded at 901.65 percent. The latest positive rate is 0.72 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Jayapura City. The population of this region is recorded at 309,760. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the percentage of people tested per week is 877.27 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 0.07 percent, which has also decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, Central Jakarta City recorded 862.16 percent, South Jakarta City recorded 847.14 percent, and Balikpapan City, with a population of 646,020, recorded 822.52 percent for the percentage of people tested per week.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid data recapitulation, there are 348 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reporting a higher weekly percentage of people tested than before. Meanwhile, 43 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly percentage of people tested compared to the previous week.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest weekly percentage of people tested include Badung, Jayapura City, and Balikpapan City, with weekly percentages of 901.65 percent, 877.27 percent, and 822.52 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue to reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the rate of coronavirus transmission.
