The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 212 regencies/cities had a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, which currently stands at 13.42 percent (data as of Sunday, November 27, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 52.17 percent are Malinau, Nagan Raya, Gayo Lues, North Morowali, and Tojo Una Una, with values of 70 percent, 66.67 percent, 64.29 percent, 52.94 percent, and 52.17 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 118 regencies/cities, while 192 regencies/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Malinau, Nagan Raya, and Gayo Lues, with seven-day positivity rates of 70 percent, 66.67 percent, and 64.29 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
