The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 24 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.36 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Thursday, February 2, 2023.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 1.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Madiun City, Blitar City, Toli Toli, Kediri City, and Magelang City, with respective values of 2.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.04 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily inpatient utilization rate higher than before was recorded in one district/city, while two districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Toli Toli, East Sumba, and Banda Aceh City, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 2.06 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.11 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.06 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
