The highest increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in NTT currently occurred in Malaka, with 1.5 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Thursday, August 11, 2022. This figure is 0.3 cases higher than the second-highest region.
The COVID-19 transmission situation in Malaka does not appear to be improving. The Ministry of Health recorded no weekly cases per 100,000 population in the region the previous week.
Sikka is next in second place, recording a weekly confirmation rate of 1.23 cases per 100,000 population. Compared to the previous week, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week is still higher, meaning no improvement is evident.
Rounding out the top five, besides the two regions above, are Sabu Raijua, Belu, and Flores Timur, recording weekly confirmations of 0.95 cases, 0.87 cases, and 0.76 cases, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Rote Ndao, Kupang City, East Sumba, and South Central Timor. These regions recorded an average increase of over 0.21 cases per 100,000 population.
The good news from this province is that 12 regencies/cities recorded no increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Other information from today's daily COVID-19 data statistics is that 230 regencies/cities in Indonesia recorded a higher increase compared to the previous week, and 143 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly confirmations than the previous week.
Furthermore, 150 regencies/cities in Indonesia currently report no confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
