Average Years of Schooling in North Nias Regency Reaches 7.05 Years in 2024

The average years of schooling (RLS) for residents aged 25 years and above in North Nias, North Sumatra, was 7.05 years in 2024.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS of the region''s population was below the average for North Sumatra Province, which was 9.93 years in 2024.

The RLS of North Nias residents increased by 0.2 years (2.92%) compared to the previous year, which was 6.85 years. Meanwhile, in the last five years, the RLS increased by 0.8 years (12.8%).

This RLS indicates that the average resident of North Nias only attended school up to the 7th grade. However, this RLS is still below the national average RLS of 8.85 years in 2024.
