As of Thursday, March 23, 2023, 68.6 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia. This represents 37.79% of the national COVID-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. According to the Ministry of Health, the daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was 830 doses.
By province, West Java has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationally, with 15.46 million doses administered. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, with 1.59 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.1 million), Bekasi City (979,580), Bekasi Regency (967,320), Cianjur Regency (912,390), and Bandung City (896,720).
East Java is second nationally in booster vaccination coverage, with 9.35 million doses administered. Within East Java, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, with 1.31 million doses.
Central Java is third, with 8.55 million booster doses administered. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.34 million, 4.19 million, and 2.99 million booster doses administered respectively.
