The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 19 districts/cities with a Covid-19 death rate exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest Covid-19 death rates, exceeding 0.24 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Manggarai (0.57 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Pangkal Pinang City (0.46 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tasikmalaya City (0.44 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Kapuas (0.27 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Pringsewu (0.24 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java. No districts/cities recorded a higher daily Covid-19 death rate than previously recorded.
Areas outside Java with the highest Covid-19 death rates include Manggarai (0.57 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Pangkal Pinang City (0.46 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Kapuas (0.27 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
