Several districts/cities in Riau province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Rokan Hulu Regency, Rokan Hilir Regency, and Kampar Regency.
As of yesterday, these three regencies had only completed 659,730 second doses of the vaccine, out of a target of 1.54 million vaccine recipients.
Rokan Hulu Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, only 40.1% of the target population in this region had received their second dose, the lowest among the 12 districts/cities. The first dose, however, reached 74.8%, or 495,920 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 428,340 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Rokan Hulu last week was 3,545 participants. The current vaccine stock is 66,446 doses.
Next is Rokan Hilir Regency. For the second dose, this regency has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 479,760 vaccine recipients, only 40.7% or 195,350 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first dose has reached 78.5%, or 575,900 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Rokan Hilir last week was 4,039 participants. The current vaccine stock is 100,030 doses.
Kampar Regency is ranked third. With a target of 634,970 vaccine recipients, only 46.1% or 292,460 recipients have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Kampar last week was 5,632 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 86,114 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in Riau has reached 86%, or 4.16 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 55.51%, covering 2.69 million vaccine recipients.
