March 2022 FIFA Ranking: Indonesian National Football Team Ranked 7th in Southeast Asia

The Southeast Asian Games 2021 are underway. Football is one of the sporting events most eagerly awaited by the Indonesian public.

However, the Indonesian U23 National Team suffered a significant 0-3 defeat against Vietnam in their opening Group A match of the SEA Games 2021.

According to data from the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Indonesia's football team is ranked 159th in the world, or 7th in Southeast Asia, with 1,001.61 points based on the latest men's rankings as of March 31, 2021.

Indonesia's ranking is significantly below Vietnam's, which scored 1,215.38 points. Vietnam climbed one spot to 96th and is the only Southeast Asian team in the world's top 100.

Thailand is ranked below Vietnam with 1,167.68 points and is in 111th place. Following Thailand is the Philippines with 1,117.89 points, ranked 133rd.
