Companies Market Cap notes that, as of early February 2023, there are 10 Indonesian companies with the largest market capitalization.
First is Bank Central Asia, BCA (BBCA), with a value of US$71.86 billion, or approximately Rp1,090 trillion (US$1 = Rp15,158). This is the highest value and significantly higher than other Indonesian companies or issuers.
Second is Bank Rakyat Indonesia, BRI (BBRI), with a value of US$47.86 billion. Third is mining company Bayan Resources with a capitalization of US$42.21 billion.
Fourth is Bank Mandiri (BMRI) with US$31.44 billion. Fifth is Telkom Indonesia (TLK) with US$25.19 billion.
Last on the list is GoTo (GOTO) with a market capitalization of US$8.15 billion. Of these 10 companies, the banking sector is well-represented, with four banks.
Companies Market Cap states that this market capitalization represents the value of public companies.
"In most cases, it can be easily calculated by multiplying the share price by the number of outstanding shares," writes Companies MarketCap on its website.
