The top five, starting from the highest weekly suspect testing percentage, are Simalungun (90.16%), Mandailing Natal (80.76%), Boven Digoel (77.59%), East Lombok (75.77%), and Banggai Islands (75%).
Simalungun ranks first. With a population of 877,710, the weekly suspect testing percentage is recorded at 90.16 percent. The latest positive rate is 14.49 percent. The positive rate in this region increased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Mandailing Natal. The population in this region is recorded at 460,360. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly suspect testing percentage is 80.76 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 1.16 percent, or higher than the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, Boven Digoel recorded 77.59 percent testing, East Lombok 75.77 percent, and Banggai Islands 75 percent.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 171 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report higher daily weekly suspect testing percentages than before. Meanwhile, 183 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly suspect testing percentages compared to the previous week.
Regions outside Java with the highest weekly suspect testing percentage ratios include Simalungun, Mandailing Natal, and Boven Digoel, with weekly suspect testing percentages of 90.16 percent, 80.76 percent, and 77.59 percent, respectively.
