The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 53 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.41 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, March 26, 2023.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient utilization exceeding 1.42 patients per 100,000 population/week are Cirebon City, Gunungkidul, Kulon Progo, Sleman, and Yogyakarta City, each with values of 1.55 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than previously recorded was observed in 13 regencies/cities, while two regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Bangka Selatan, Pangkal Pinang City, and Pontianak City, with inpatient utilization rates of 0.93 patients per 100,000 population/week, 0.92 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.74 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
