The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 140 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.91 percent (data as of Friday, February 10, 2023).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 10.53 percent are Banggai Laut, Lebong, Jayawijaya, Kayong Utara, and Pasaman, with values of 20 percent, 20 percent, 20 percent, 11.11 percent, and 10.53 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 57 districts/cities, while 55 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banggai Laut, Lebong, and Jayawijaya, with seven-day positivity rates of 20 percent, 20 percent, and 20 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
