In response to this situation, the Ministry of Health stated that there is a need for fiscal intervention to improve services and avoid a deficit in BPJS Kesehatan funding.

"This year, it has been addressed with an additional Rp20 trillion, Rp10 trillion through the Ministry of Health, and Rp10 trillion directly to BPJS. But there needs to be something more structural, because if not, the gap will continue to widen over time," said Budi.
