According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), 54.49% of the Indonesian population aged 15 years and above had ever smoked and had quit smoking by March 2025.

Looking at the regions, the highest percentages of the population who quit smoking are in Southeast Sulawesi Province (88.30%), Lampung (76.32%), and Bangka Belitung Islands (75.01%).

Meanwhile, the lowest percentages are in Highland Papua Province (31.58%), South Papua (34.45%), and East Kalimantan (41.38%).
