The Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) reported that there are five illegal drugs widely sold on Indonesian marketplaces.
These findings are based on the results of cyber patrols conducted by BPOM throughout the first semester of 2025. These illegal drugs do not have a BPOM distribution permit.
During that period, Cream BL was the most frequently found illegal drug, with 2,184 sales links. 113,851 units of this product have been sold, with the highest number of store locations found in Tangerang Regency.
Then there was Pi Kang Wang with 1,385 sales links, and 185,400 products sold. The highest number of stores selling this drug were found in West Jakarta.
Below is a complete list of prohibited drugs sold on Indonesian marketplaces, along with the products sold in the first semester of 2025:
- Cream BL: 2,184 links, 113,851 products sold
- Pi Kang Wang: 1,285 links, 185,400 products sold
- Tramadol: 629 links, 17 products sold

Following up on the discovery of illegal drugs, BPOM has collaborated with various parties to remove the sales links for these products.
"Thousands of these links have been taken down by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs and the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA)," BPOM wrote on its Instagram account on Thursday (20/11/2025).
Consumers are also urged to report any illegal drug products still seen on marketplaces via BPOM Mobile.
