According to data released by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), consumer complaints submitted through the Consumer Protection Portal Application (APPK) from January 1 to June 30, 2025, reached 20,115.

The highest number of complaints originated from the financial technology (fintech) sector, with 7,697 complaints. Online loans (pinjol) fall under this category.

The second highest number of complaints came from the banking sector, with 7,457 complaints. Following this were financing companies, with 4,046 complaints.

A significant number of complaints were also lodged against insurance companies, reaching 648. Finally, complaints against the capital market supervisor (PM) and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (IKNB) totaled 267.

Kiki, the Executive Head's nickname, stated that 88.10% of complaints had been resolved through the internal dispute resolution mechanism of Financial Services Business Actors (PUJK) by June 2025.
