Hotel Star-Rated Room Occupancy Decreased in February 2025

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the hotel room occupancy rate (TPK) for star-rated hotels in Indonesia was 47.21% in February 2025.

This figure is down from January 2025 and lower than February of the previous year, as shown in the graph.

BPS Deputy for Production Statistics, M. Habibullah, stated that the highest star-rated hotel occupancy rate was recorded in DKI Jakarta, reaching 59.07%.

"This was driven, among other things, by numerous events such as concerts and exhibitions throughout February 2025," said Habibullah in a press conference on Tuesday (8/4/2025).

South Kalimantan and East Kalimantan followed, achieving star-rated hotel occupancy rates of 53.29% and 52.78%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the lowest star-rated hotel occupancy rate was in West Sulawesi, at only 20.86%. This was followed by Bangka Belitung Islands with 22.33% and West Papua with 23%.

BPS also noted that the average length of stay for guests at star-rated hotels in Indonesia in February 2025 was 1.58 nights.

Considering citizenship, the average stay for foreign guests was 2.37 nights, while for domestic guests it was 1.49 nights.
