Every February 14th, people in various countries celebrate Valentine's Day. This celebration is often used as a moment to express affection to loved ones.

However, according to a JakPat survey, 72% of respondents in Indonesia do not celebrate Valentine's Day.

Of this group, 60% feel that affection can be expressed anytime, without having to wait for Valentine's Day.

This JakPat survey involved a total of 807 respondents in Indonesia, narrowed down to 578 respondents who admitted to not celebrating Valentine's Day.

The proportion of respondents consisted of 55% women and 45% men. Respondents were spread across non-Jabodetabek Java (61%), Jabodetabek (23%), and outside Java (16%).

The survey was conducted online through the Jakpat application on March 20-21, 2024, with a margin of error below 5%.
