A JakPat report titled *Indonesia Fintech Trends – 2nd Semester of 2024* reveals various factors consumers consider when choosing financial technology (fintech) platforms or applications.

The majority, or 62% of respondents, prioritized ease of use, while 56% sought user-friendly fintech applications.

Other respondents considered whether the application was registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) (50%), offered many attractive features (36%), came from a reputable company (26%), and offered promotions (26%).

Some respondents also chose fintech services based on positive social media impressions (22%), recommendations from close contacts (20%), extensive mass media advertising (20%), and preferred applications with a long operational history (18%).

This Jakpat survey involved 2,133 respondents, comprising 53% male and 47% female.

Respondents were located in non-Jabodetabek Java (49%), Jabodetabek (33%), and outside Java (18%). Respondents were predominantly millennials (42%), Gen Z (36%), and Gen X (22%).

The online survey was conducted via the Jakpat application from November 28 to December 5, 2024, with a margin of error below 5%.
