According to the 2024 Environmental Performance Index (EPI), Estonia is the world's most environmentally friendly country.

The EPI is an index developed by Yale University to assess countries' progress in mitigating climate change, improving environmental health, and protecting ecosystems.

Other countries in the global top 10 for environmental performance are Luxembourg, Germany, Finland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, and Denmark, with scores as shown in the graph.

Meanwhile, Indonesia this year achieved an EPI score of 33.8 out of 100 points, placing it 162nd out of 180 countries, or 19th from the bottom.
