In 2023, the Indonesian government prepared the Kartu Prakerja program for 595,000 participants. However, registration is opened in phases.
The first wave of registration this year opened on February 17, 2023, with a quota of 10,000 participants.
According to Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, the quota for participants in this initial registration wave is still small due to limited training institutions.
"The participant quota will be gradually increased by the Kartu Prakerja Program Management Agency (MPPKP) according to the number of training institutions joining the Kartu Prakerja Program ecosystem," said Airlangga in his press release on Friday (February 17, 2023).
"Therefore, the government invites qualified training institutions throughout Indonesia to participate in the training provider selection, especially training institutions from Central and Eastern Indonesia, such as Pontianak, Makassar, Kupang, and Jayapura," he continued.
Potential Kartu Prakerja program participants can register independently through the website www.prakerja.go.id without representation.
After registering, prospective participants must undergo a selection process consisting of a Basic Competency Test (TKD)/Learning Ability Test (SKB) on the website.
The TKD/SKB test is conducted online and lasts approximately 40 minutes, consisting of verbal and quantitative reasoning tests.
After passing the test, Kartu Prakerja program participants will receive an incentive totaling Rp 4.2 million per person.
This incentive consists of Rp 3.5 million in training assistance, Rp 600,000 in post-training incentives, and Rp 100,000 in survey incentives for completing two surveys.
"Once you have successfully obtained the Kartu Prakerja, immediately utilize the training assistance obtained to the best of your ability to follow training that suits your needs and interests," said Airlangga.
