The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 68.97 million doses of COVID-19 booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Saturday, January 14, 2023. This figure represents 29.39 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 3,636 doses.
By province, West Java still holds the top position with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationally, reaching 15.69 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency had the highest number of booster vaccine recipients with 1.61 million doses. This was followed by Bandung Regency (1.12 million), Bekasi City (996,170), Bekasi Regency (992,390), Cianjur Regency (929,280), and Bandung City (905,700).
East Java is in second place with 9.3 million doses. Within East Java, Surabaya City had the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, with 1.31 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.58 million booster vaccinations. This is followed by North Sumatra (3.79 million doses), Banten (3.02 million doses), and Bali (1.97 million doses).
