The United States recorded the highest number of Omicron cases, with weekly growth reaching 0.64 percent. GISAID recorded 2.32 million Omicron cases in the US. Daily cases in this region increased by 0.02 percent compared to the previous day.
Germany follows in second place. Compared to the previous week, the number of Omicron cases in the country grew by 0.88 percent. Yesterday's daily data recorded 550,990 Omicron cases in Germany. Japan recorded 396,630 Omicron cases (up 0.45%), France saw a 0.37 percent increase to 342,050 cases compared to the previous week, and Australia saw a 0.64 percent increase to 137,230 cases compared to the previous week.
Meanwhile, the number of Omicron cases in Indonesia, as of today's data, stands at 34,730, a 0.01 percent increase compared to the previous day. Since it was first monitored, Omicron cases in Indonesia have continued to rise.
