As of Saturday, October 16, 2021, 40.77 percent of the target population in North Sumatra province has received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 4.66 million people out of a target of 11.42 million. The second dose has reached 23.34 percent of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 71,060 people. For the first dose, 71,060 people were vaccinated (133.65 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 88,530 people were vaccinated (124.59 percent of the target).

For public sector workers, the target was 879,800 people. The first dose reached 1.38 million people (156.99 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 1.2 million people (136.2 percent of the target).
