Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Elderly Vaccination Rates (Thursday, February 2, 2023)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 281 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage based on KTP (Indonesian ID card) identity above the national average, currently recorded at 61 percent as of Thursday, February 2, 2023.

The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 111.75 percent are Solok City, Garut, Aceh Singkil, Cirebon, and Sukabumi, with values of 124.13 percent, 121.2 percent, 115.84 percent, 115.83 percent, and 111.75 percent, respectively.

A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days was recorded in 31 regencies/cities.

Areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Solok City, Aceh Singkil, and Bener Meriah, with elderly vaccination rates of 124.13 percent, 115.84 percent, and 109.72 percent, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
